Although folklore depicts them as female, there are also male baba yaga in existence.

This female Baba Yaga is an ancient witch of the forest, and she lives in a parallel realm close to Prague. She is about 2500 years old. She usually appears as in the image, as a tall woman with a fair skin, long black hair and piercing blue eyes, she wears a blue dress and carries a magical scepter that she uses as a magick wand as well. This scepter not only is a symbol of her power but also it is a secret weapon she uses against malicious forces.

She is elegant, intelligent, charming and wise. She enjoys teaching and practicing magick with her keeper. Her knowledge of the arcane is unparalleled. She understands the delicate equilibrium that exists between light and dark, and she uses her abilities with responsibility.

Having her around can boost the natural magick and energy of a place, the keeper's magical powers, and any spell that has been cast on behalf of the keeper. Her presence is like a living enchantment, weaving an aura of mystery and power everywhere she goes.

She manifests in the mind's eye as described. She may manifest in other ways as well depending on the situation, like through emotions, synchronicities, meaningful dreams, faint pleasant scents, insights on improving one's own magical practice. She may also manifest as an elder lady, with silver hair and a wrinkly face wearing white clothes. As with all spirits, there will be times when she will remain silent, or rest in her own realm.
